Giacomo leads Nesta Italia’s Tech for Good area. His role is to promote the use of emerging technologies to address social and environmental issues and create tangible impact. This involves the design and executing innovation programs on a local, national and international scale, and promoting the collaboration between public institutions, the private sector, investors, and startups & innovators.
His areas of expertise are technology, with a spike in artificial intelligence, and change management, which he developed thanks to experience in top-tier consulting, executive management in his tech startup and quantitative roles in finance.
His academic background is in particle physics and quantitative finance, with Masters’ from the University of Padova and Cass Business School London.
Outside of work he loves reading, exploring nature with his family and friends and playing a variety of sports, including backcountry skiing, fencing and freediving.
